MPN Florence and personal data management

MPN Florence is committed to protecting the privacy of its users and safeguarding personal data collected in compliance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR). This information is provided pursuant to art. 13 of the GDPR for users who consult and interact with this site and use the services provided. The information is provided only for the www.mpn-florence.com website and not for other websites that may be reached by the user through links.

Purpose of processing

MPN Florence processes the collected personal data exclusively for the purpose of carrying out the normal activities of the Association, namely to spread knowledge and keep up to date on recent discoveries in clinical and laboratory research on MPNs.

Data voluntarily provided by the user

The processing of data for the aforementioned purposes will take place with both automated and non-automated methods in compliance with the confidentiality and security rules provided by law. Information collection takes place through forms present on the site, and will be used to manage event registrations, paper communications and any newsletters of the Association. Data will be processed only by persons in charge and data processors appointed by MPN Florence as data controllers.

Navigation data

Some personal data is collected implicitly with the use of internet communication protocols during normal navigation on this site. This category includes IP addresses or domains of computers used by users to connect to www.mpn-florence.com, the method used to submit requests to the server, and other parameters related to the user's operating system and computer system. This data is used anonymously and only for statistical purposes in relation to site usage.

This site uses Google reCAPTCHA v3 (Google LLC, USA) as a strictly necessary technical security measure to protect forms from automated abuse (spam and bots). reCAPTCHA analyzes user behavior on the page to distinguish between humans and bots. Data collected is transmitted to Google and is subject to Google's Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy). The use of reCAPTCHA is considered strictly necessary under art. 5 of the GDPR as it is indispensable for the security of the service requested by the user.

Rights of the data subject

The data subject has the right at any time to exercise the rights provided for by arts. 15-22 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), including: access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, by writing directly to the data controller.

  • the identification details of the controller, processors and the representative designated pursuant to article 5, paragraph 2

The data subject has the right to obtain:

  • updating, rectification or, when interested, integration of data
